Tilewick Terms of Use

Last updated 30 October 2026

In short: What you make is yours, and you may use our templates, fonts and stickers in it, including commercially. Free exports carry a watermark and are limited each week; Pro removes both. The app is provided as-is.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your use of Tilewick (the “App”), an iOS application published by Daria Efremova, trading as AcutaLabs (“AcutaLabs”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is also subject to Apple’s standard End User License Agreement for licensed applications, which applies in addition to these terms.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.

3. Your content

Designs you make and export with the App are yours. You may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes. We claim no rights over your photos, your designs or your brand kit.

You are solely responsible for having the rights to the photos, logos, text and other material you put into a design, and for how you use the results. You may not use the App to make material that is unlawful, that infringes another person’s rights, or that depicts a person in a way that would violate their rights.

4. Templates, fonts and stickers

The App gives you access to a catalog of templates, fonts, stickers, icons and other design elements. We grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use, modify and include them in the designs you make with the App, and to use and distribute those designs for any lawful purpose, including commercially. That license continues for designs you have already exported if you later stop using the App or your subscription ends.

You may not extract, resell or redistribute these elements on their own, as files, or as part of another template, font, sticker or design-asset collection, and you may not use them as a trademark or logo.

Each font is distributed under its own open license, such as the SIL Open Font License or the Apache License, which you can read for every downloaded font in the App under Settings › Storage. The App’s icons come from the Lucide and Feather icon sets, whose licenses are shown under Settings › Licenses. Where those licenses give you more rights than this section, they apply.

5. Stock photos

The App can search the free stock libraries of Pexels and Unsplash. Those photos are supplied by their providers, not by us, and your use of them is governed by the Pexels License and the Unsplash License respectively. The App shows the photographer’s credit where the provider supplies one. You are responsible for using stock photos in line with those licenses, including their restrictions on identifiable people, trademarks and selling unaltered copies.

6. The free tier and Pro

The App is free to use with some limits. Exports made without a Pro subscription carry a Tilewick watermark and are limited to a set number each week, currently three, which the App shows before you export. The weekly count is stored on your device and resets each week. Some templates, fonts, stickers and features are available only with Pro.

Pro removes the watermark and the weekly limit and unlocks the Pro catalog and features while your subscription is active. We may change what the free tier and Pro include; changes will not take away a paid Pro period you have already started.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms. Prices, periods and any free trial are shown in the App before you buy.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Where a free trial is offered, the subscription starts at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; we cannot cancel or refund on your behalf. Refund requests go to Apple.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the models, catalog content or source code of the App, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law; not to redistribute or resell the App; not to remove or obscure the watermark on free exports; and not to use the App or its catalog service in a way that interferes with its normal operation or with other users.

9. Availability and changes

We may update, change, add to or remove features and catalog content at any time. We aim to give notice of material changes through the App or the App Store release notes.

Browsing and downloading templates, fonts, stickers and stock photos needs an internet connection and our catalog service. Your projects stay on your device and remain yours if the service changes or ends.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Automatic background removal is imperfect and results vary by image; we do not warrant any particular output quality, uninterrupted access to the catalog, or that projects will be free of loss. Keep your own copy of anything important.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AcutaLabs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost projects, lost data or lost profits arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach these terms. You may end it at any time by deleting the App from your devices. Sections 3, 4, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under your local law.
